Dear Farmers and Market Managers,
We have extra state funds and want to give seniors benefits to buy eggs from now until May 2025. But starting in July, we will not get more state funds. That means seniors will only get the $50 federal benefit—no extra money for eggs or other food.
Are you an egg vendor, or do you have egg vendors at your market? If so, please send in their Farmer Agreements as soon as possible! We need to approve vendors quickly so we can tell participants where they can shop for eggs.
Also, if you have time, please call, or email your State Legislators and ask them to keep funding the Senior Farmers’ Market Program. This will help seniors keep getting fresh, local food from markets like yours.
