Started mowing organic alfalfa today. I’m always super excited to get started in May. By August, I don’t ever want to see another bale. We are very thankful for this wonderful crop.

We will always be rooting for Dirt Wain!

We processed compost on about a tenth of an acre for the past 5 years on the southern end of Fort Wayne. The small field pictured (after we moved over 290 tons of compost to our new site) was provided by Wood Farms at their Whippoorwill location.

We have learned an enormous amount from WF about the circular economy, complex decision making about ecological impacts, and most importantly, how to safely use farm equipment!

WF are pioneers in our area raising organic hay for over 20 years. They will continue to inspire our work for years to come and we could not express more gratitude for their mentorship and support through some challenging situations.
