đšđ„ Wildfire Risk is HIGH in Columbia County đ„đš
Our area is currently experiencing exceptional drought, and with multiple active fires nearby, the risk is serious. Last week, Columbia County reinstated a burn ban due to wildfire danger, and surrounding counties are also under restrictions.
â ïž What this means:
NO outdoor burning is allowedâthis includes yard debris, burn piles, and campfires. Even a small spark can quickly become a wildfire in these conditions.
â How NOT to Start a Fire:
Donât toss ci******es or anything hot on the ground.
Donât leave grills or fires unattended.
Donât burn debrisâespecially during drought.
Donât park vehicles or equipment on dry grass.
Donât ignore burn bans or safety guidance.
â
What You CAN Do:
Follow the burn banâitâs in place to protect our community.
Keep your yard clear of dry debris and leaves.
Stay alert and report smoke or fire immediately.
Use extreme caution with anything that creates heat or sparks.
đ„ Most wildfires are human-caused and preventable. Right now, your actions matter more than ever.
đ§đ± Protect your home. Protect your neighbors. Prevent wildfire.
