In late fall, 2004, I was in Michaels Arts N' Crafts store looking for a baking pan to make a cake for a Christmas party. As I walked down the aisle, I saw a small book on basic cake decorating. This is how I got started. I tried it, was not very good at the start, then took a couple of classes at Michaels. After those first two classes, I didn't
have time to attend any more, so I have been pra
cticing on my own ever since. I give all the credit to the Lord, who awakened me to something that I never gave a thought to prior to October, 2004, and a talent that I didn't even know I had! I love decorating and will continue to improve. The photos I have displayed, and a few others that I will soon post, are the most current, and the best that I have done. I always aim to do my best with God's help, and will be happy to serve you if you are interested. I don't boast of great, "out-of-this-world" decorations as I still have a long way to go, but if you want something nice, we--that is the Holy Spirit and myself, can accommodate you. I have done a lot of volunteer projects for events at my church, bake sales at my work, and as gifts for friends, etc. Some of my friends have taken their birthday cakes to restaurants and shared with the cooks, waiters, etc. and they gave their stamp of approval. In addition to taste, which is the most important, I have gotten loads of approval on designs. I don't brag on myself, however. The wedding cake that I did was a gift, but my price range would begin at $100.00 and the same for a grooms cake. I don't do Halloween nor anything obscene and contrary to God and His Word.
