On Saturday, the board and committee members had a lot of discussion about how we could still hold the market in spite of the weather forecast.
Options of setting up at the end of the parking lot and having vendors sell out of their vehicles or using the screen porch of Shady Acres were tossed around but ultimately we decided to cancel.
But, we're curious. Would you have come out yesterday? Let us know in the comments.

We've got some great activities happening on Sunday! The Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company always has something fun to do at their tent while Dave and Lulu Party Entertainment make awesome balloon creations AND you might even catch them doing a little juggling too!

In case you need a reminder that bigger isn't always better; come shop and support our wonderful variety of vendors who produce local vegetables, eggs, meats, honey, bread, baked goods, hot sauce, salsa, spices, pottery, plants, decor and gifts.

We're always on the hunt for vendors of berries/fruits, coffee/tea, jams/preserves, maple syrup and more to round out our selection. So, if you or someone you know wants to join us please share our website link with them.

Market Manager Musings-
Only in New England does the weather forecast on Saturday say it's going to be sunny on Sunday but you wake up to a drizzle followed by rain for the first hour of the market. But, we showed up, set up and persevered!! I think that my favorite part of the market was seeing vendors singing and dancing along to the music of fosterfarmhands .
So, as my tent dries out, I raise a toast of thanks to all who came out to support us today.

Labor Day may be the unofficial end of grilling season but to us, it's the perfect day to put all your veggies on the grill - alongside the steaks, chicken, burgers and dogs, of course!

If you've never had a char-grilled onion, carrot or beet slice, you don't know what you're missing. The heat from the fire brings out a wonderful natural sweetness in them.

If you're the guest of the party, you don't want to arrive empty-handed so how about bringing some hot sauce to doctor up the burgers or some BBQ sauce to slather on the chicken? Or a few jars of small batch salsa to go with the chips and guac?

Individual honey sticks and sweet treats will keep the kiddos up long past their 'school routine' bedtimes. And lastly, don't forget to pick up a little something for the host/hostess. A plant? A bird feeder? A whimsical little piece of deco? We have got you covered!!!! I bet you had no idea we are practically a one-stop shop?!!!

This week we will be entertained by the Foster Farm Hands band and Dave and Lulu Party Entertainment with their balloon creations. It's going to be beautiful weather so take your coffee or breakfast to go and sit at a picnic table to enjoy the market vibes!

*North Foster Farm - pasture raised, non-GMO eggs and chicken

*Burning House Hot Sauce -and BBQ sauce

*Foster Farmers' Market - info, t-shirt + tote bag sales

*Choiniere Family Farm - Meats( Beef, pork, chicken, lamb, goat) and sourdough bread

*Chopre Naturals - tallow based skin care

*Little Poultry Shed in the Woods -permaculture plants and produce. Duck eggs. Upcycled birdhouses, feeders, planters, whimsical deco,etc.

*Foster Fresh Honey - jars, creamed + 'to go' sticks

*ADD Acres – fresh, locally-grown produce, fresh cut flower bouquets and more

*Nacho Fuel Salsa - hot, medium and mild salsa

*Dizzy Giraffe - focaccia bread, scones, bagels, muffies and cookies

Join us under the trees at Shady Acres Diner and Apocalypse Cafe this and every Sunday through October from 9a-1p.
