This year, we have expanded our orchard by adding four new fruit trees. Unlike our existing trees, which were sourced from an organic tree farm, these particular trees were purchased from a retail store (Costco) and are non-dwarf varieties. Specifically, we have planted two plum and two pear trees, situated near the house. Notably, these trees are expected to reach heights of 20-30 feet upon maturity. Fingers crossed they thrive. To ensure their healthy growth, we still need to apply mulch and install fencing to protect them from deer damage. We are excited to see how they do! We now have a total of 30 fruit trees!!!

Late post! Mini caramel macchiato, aka Brownie, turned 2 on March 29th. Help us wish this sweet girl a happy birthday! 🎂🎊🎈 She's been a great addition to the farm and may provide milk someday! 🥛 She enjoys head-butting and sweet treats.

Our sweet Mini Mocha turned 2 this St Patrick's Day! Seems like yesterday she was a bottle baby. Happy 2nd Birthday 🎊

Here at DLT Farms, we’ve been busy this winter working on a project we didn’t advertise — and we’re excited to finally share it with you.

Over the past few months, we made our first batch of homemade wine completely from scratch. Using 100% grapes, we produced 5 gallons of red wine and 5 gallons of white wine. The only thing added was a small amount of sweetener right before bottling.

What we learned quickly is that winemaking is definitely not as easy as it sounds. There’s a lot of time, patience, and expense involved — just like anything worth doing. But the end result turned out delicious, and we’re really proud of how it came out.

We currently have about 48 bottles available that we’d like to share with friends and family. We’re asking for a suggested donation of $25–$30 per bottle.

For reference, a friend of ours sells similar wine to a liquor store for around $60-100 a bottle, but we’re not looking to make a profit — we just want to share something we worked hard on and enjoyed making.

If you’re interested, send us a message!

This was a fun experience for us, and we’re excited to share a few photos from the process with all of you. Cheers! 🍷
