🐣 Well… JD and Ellie made the executive decision to DOUBLE the size of our egg-layer flock! 🥚🐔🤣

I think Mama Bear was a little surprised when we came home the other day with about five boxes of chicks! 😂

The last two years have definitely been a challenge. We’ve battled foxes, hawks, and even lost one of our ducks to an eagle. No matter what you do, keeping these girls safe is a constant battle!

At the same time, our customer base for eggs has continued to grow, and we couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who supports our little farm. ❤️

So, we’re taking a big step and expanding the flock! Our hope is that by next year we’ll have enough layers to keep up with all of our egg orders without a problem.

Thank you all for supporting DLT Farms and allowing us to keep doing what we love! 🐔🥚❤️

Now… let’s just hope Mama Bear forgives us for the five boxes of chicks. 😂 Ellie and Mateo can’t get enough chick 🐣 snuggles 🥰

🐔 MEAT BIRD ANNOUNCEMENT! 🐔

About two weeks ago, we picked up our new batch of meat birds! We’re keeping about half of them for ourselves and will have approximately 20–25 birds available for sale.

They will be available for pickup the weekend of September 19th–20th. These will be whole birds processed.

Also, if you order ahead of time, you can also pick up fresh farm eggs, and possibly a bottle of wine if we still have some available by then.

First come, first served! PM me if you’re interested or would like to reserve yours.

Happy Father’s Day to all the hardworking dads out there — the early risers, the late-night fixers, the ones carrying feed buckets, teaching life lessons, and showing their kids what hard work really looks like.

Out here on the farm, fatherhood looks a lot like farming — long days, dirty hands, little sleep, and a whole lot of love. It’s about planting seeds, being patient, and watching your kids grow into something amazing.

To all the dads raising families, building legacies, and doing their best every single day — we see you, and we appreciate you.
