Hey friends- My 6-year-old daughter Addy & I have a proposition to make… The kids (and kids at heart) of Franklin TN need more treats!

Not just SOME of the kids, but the whole crew (even those with food allergies, dietary restrictions, & parents who don’t love what processed sugar does to them)…

And not just ANY treats, but ones that are free of all the bad stuff & still taste AMAZING…

So we’re doing a thing (I know that phrase isn’t at all cliché)…

We’re going to start dishing up some of our favorites & inviting you to the party (technically your own party, so get ready)!

Just a quick backstory…

Addy Cake Daddy Cake was born out of Addy’s journey with severe food allergies (two of them being peanuts & tree nuts), and my wife’s and my desire for her to have treats that look and taste like what everyone else is eating, without compromising her health – whether at school, a birthday party, a holiday get-together, or wherever.

Everywhere we would go, even “healthy” restaurants and “health food” stores, it was nearly impossible to find good (or sometimes any) products without grains, nuts, dairy, refined sugar, and/or cheap inflammatory oils. What a frustrating feeling! Add the risk of cross-contamination and eating out as a family became stressful and challenging. As Addy started getting older, there was also this emotional aspect where she would naturally want something she saw (or that others were eating around her) and we would constantly have to tell her no. This inspired me to experiment more in the kitchen, trying to create things similar to what other kids were eating. It was (and is) a labor of love, but we were resolved to keeping her safe without feeling left out.

We figured if this was something our family has walked through, surely other families have similar experiences and would also benefit from our delicious treats made with clean, feel-good ingredients. As Chief Taste Tester (among other roles), Addy knows how sweet life can be and wants to make sure other families in our shoes can enjoy the same!
