We are at the end of the strawberry season that started mid April. Our strawberry fields are still open with a very limited amount to pick for about another week. There are some rows/varieties that have no strawberries, or a limited amount of red strawberries to pick and some green still to turn. The week of rains has ruined some. We will need warm temps and sun to continue to ripen what is still green. Strawberries will not continue to ripen once picked.
We will have no Prepicked strawberries in our market.
We do have vegetables to either “pick your own” or to purchase in the market: yellow squash, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, bok choy, kale, collards, mustard greens, cabbage, and Swiss chard. Asparagus is just about finished for the season. We will have a limited amount of asparagus in the market through the end of May.
RASPBERRIES ARE TRICKLING IN! WE HAVE SUNFLOWERS AND SNAP DRAGONS!
PLEASE check in with the market before heading to the fields.
Braehead Farm is open every day from 9-6.

Field berry update:
These photos are from today Thursday 5/21/26. Our strawberry fields are still open with a very limited amount to pick for about the next week. After the consecutive days of heat above 90 degrees, new growth has slowed. There are some red strawberries to pick and some green still to turn. They will need warm temps and sun to continue to ripen. Strawberries will not continue to ripen once picked. The next few days are rainy.
We will have no Prepicked strawberries in our market.
We do have vegetables to either “pick your own” or to purchase in the market:
Arugula, bok choy, kale, collards, mustard, cabbage, spinach, and swiss chard. Asparagus is just about finished for the season. We will have a limited amount of asparagus in the market through the weekend.
PLEASE check in with the market before heading to the fields.

Strawberry field update! 5/16/26
The fields have been heavily picked. You are welcome to come if you would like to, but know that we currently have a low amount of ripe red strawberries. You have to look down in the plants as shown on this photo. We still have green to ripen with the warm sun on Sunday.
We continue to have lots of green leafy vegetables to pick! Come on out and visit the animals, play and picnic! Enjoy a dairy fresh milkshake!
Open every day from 9am to 6pm.

FIELD UPDATE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS as of Saturday evening, May 9, 2026

Braehead Farm strawberries have been heavily picked over the past week, ESPECIALLY Friday and today 5/9/26.

We still have berries to pick but they are not all in one spot, not as abundant and plentiful as before Friday. You will have to go further down into the rows, and move the leaves, instead of grabbing many from the edge of one plant.
They will recover somewhat overnight and throughout the week, with sun. We still have berries constantly ripening.
We will be open for strawberry picking on Sunday, Mother’s Day.
Prepicked strawberries in the market may be limited.
