We are a full service community-owned grocery store with local foods, natural and organic products. Food co-ops sell food and related items to owners and non-owners, but rather than seeking to maximize profits, cooperatives make decisions to maximize service to their member-owners and the community. Our vision is:
Products: to have the best selection of local organic, natural & vegetarian foods. E

nvironmental: to implement sustainable practices and to source from local producers whenever possible. Community: to be a gathering place for people and ideas and to collaborate with community-based organizations. Financial: to be financially strong by earning the broad support of our member-owners and the community. Member-owners are part of something bigger, joining together to improve access to healthy foods while enhancing the quality of life in our community. They also receive discounts and other benefits.

Join us on Saturday, August 8, from 1–2 PM to create your own beautiful bouquet using Ma's Fresh Blooms while learning the basics of floral design. Whether you're a flower lover or just looking for a fun afternoon out, this class is for you.

Meet Mia! Mia has been with us for almost two years, and through her hard work and dedication, she has recently been promoted to Lead Cashier. You will find Mia most mornings with a smile on her face, happy to help and chat during your checkout experience. She is also a great mentor to her fellow cashiers and is always ready to support the team wherever she is needed.

Mia loves working at the co-op because of the community it builds. She enjoys meeting new people, seeing familiar faces, and watching firsthand how our programs positively affect the community.

Her staff pick is the honey roasted peanut butter from our bulk section. She can really taste the difference in freshness and enjoys the flexibility of being able to buy as much or as little as she needs.

Every time you bring a reusable bag to the Fredericksburg Food Co-op, you'll earn a Carrot Coin to donate to one of our featured local nonprofits. At the end of the quarter, we'll turn those coins into real donations that support organizations making a difference right here in our community.

This quarter, we're proud to support:
🥕 Downtown Greens Inc. – Growing food. Cultivating community.
🥕 Thurman Brisben Center – Supporting neighbors on the path to stable housing.
