Friendly reminder from Pruett’s Processing:
We’ve officially wrapped up deer season 🎉 All custom cut orders are finished, and all sausage, snack sticks, and sweet bologna are made and ready for pickup.

Please make plans to pick up your deer within the next week, as we’ll be cleaning out our coolers and freezers to transition back to our regular butchering schedule.

Reminder we do not have regular scheduled business hours outside of deer season, so you’ll need to call the shop 573-783-1556 to schedule a pick up appointment. We try our best to accommodate you at your times, but please be courteous.

We want to thank all of our customers and clients at Pruett’s Meat Processing for an incredibly successful 2025 deer season. 🦌

It was a long season, a busy one, and one that brought us many new clients, and we truly appreciate the trust and support you showed us throughout it all.

We are now officially finished with deer season, and to show our appreciation, we held a custom knife giveaway. The knife was handcrafted by H&S Knives and purchased locally from Cedar Falls Outdoors & Pawn Center, because supporting local matters to us.

🦌 Pruett’s Processing Update 🥩

We officially have all deer out the door and have finished all sausage and sweet bologna orders. We are currently just waiting on a few remaining snack stick orders, and we’re working hard to get those wrapped up.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our customers. We are truly grateful for your business and have been overwhelmed (in the best way!) by the number of new clients we were blessed with this season.

We broke down and spent all our deer-season profits on some new equipment TJ and his dad had wanted for a long time… and honestly, no regrets. 🦌🔧

I may even be enjoying it more than they are 😂
This chamber vacuum sealer with the marinade and infuser is an absolute game-changer—fast, clean, and it infuses flavor like crazy.

A new mini pack chamber vacuum sealer, and a hydraulic stuffer definitely will make things quicker around the shop. Worth. Every. Penny.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from Pruett’s Meat Processing! 🦃

We want to take a moment to say how truly thankful we are for each and every one of you. This year’s rifle season has been extraordinary — far exceeding our expectations — and we couldn’t be more grateful for the hunters who trust us year after year.

One of the biggest blessings we count today is our amazing clients. Your kind words, feedback, and support mean the world to us. Because of you, we’ve been able to keep things running strong, and we’re proud to say we have almost all rifle season deer out the door, with only the last few days currently finishing up.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll begin crafting everyone’s favorites:
• 🔪 Sausage
• 🔥 Snack sticks
• 🍖 Sweet bologna

And remember — deer season isn’t over yet! We’re still here, ready to process any deer you bring in throughout the rest of the season.

Hey guys! Just a reminder — we are always here and open until at least 7:00 PM every day during rifle season.

Also, please spread the word for us! For some reason, Google still won’t update our hours on our business page even though we’ve suggested the change multiple times. Until it updates, sharing this info helps make sure everyone knows we’re open late!

🦌 ’Twas the Night Before Deer Season

’Twas the night before Opening Weekend,
And all through the town,
Every hunter was stirring—
even those who lay down.

The rifles were cleaned
and the camo laid out,
While hunters whispered prayers
that “The Big One” steps out.

The alarms were all set
for a time that’s too soon,
(3:45 AM… why not just sleep till noon?)

At Pruett’s Meat Processing,
we’re ready to roll—
Freezers are empty,
and coffee pot’s full.

Doors open at 8
and we’ll run until 7,
Helping turn your big buck
into meat heaven.

If you’ll be late
and the buck made you stray,

🏆 Grand Champion Ham Winner at the St. Francois County Fair!

At the beginning of August, during the St. Francois County Fair, we were proud to see Stephen Berghaus take home the Grand Champion Ham award — and even prouder to say it was processed and cured right here at Pruett’s Meat Processing!

We had a wonderful time working with these hardworking students, teaching them the ins and outs of processing and curing. Stephen’s dedication and skill truly paid off — his ham sold for over $1,400 in the Sale of Champions.

Congratulations, Stephen! 🎉 We’re honored to be part of your success story and look forward to continuing to support our local youth in agricultural projects.
