The Split Up is definitely one to keep an eye on! As a spin-off of the hit drama The Split, this new series takes the action to Manchester, where the Kishan family—powerhouse divorce lawyers—are at the center of a fresh drama. The twist? A long-hidden family secret threatens their legacy, adding a whole new layer of tension to the high-stakes world of law. The premise sounds packed with potential for juicy family drama, betrayal, and, of course, the kind of legal battles that fans of The Split will recognize and love.

Filming is set to begin in October, and it's great to hear that despite previous pauses, the show is finally moving forward. With six episodes slated for the first season, it sounds like The Split Up will follow a similar episodic structure, but with its own unique family dynamic. Given the success of the original show, there’s a lot of anticipation for how this spin-off will balance the legal intrigue with the personal and emotional stakes of the Kishan family.

The series will air on BBC One and iPlayer, making it accessible for fans who’ve followed The Split as well as newcomers intrigued by the new setting and characters. If you enjoyed the sharp, fast-paced drama of the original, The Split Up seems like a must-watch. Are you excited to dive into the world of the Kishan family, or do you think the new setting will bring a fresh take to the franchise?

Looks like Celebrity Big Brother 2025 is already off to an exciting start with Chris Hughes emerging as the early frontrunner! His background as a former Love Island star and current ITV racing presenter gives him a solid fan base, and it’s no surprise that he’s quickly taking the lead. His charm and familiarity with reality TV audiences could make him a strong contender for the win, but of course, we know things can change fast in the Big Brother house.

It’s also great to see Danny Beard and Coronation Street’s Jack P. Shepherd close behind in the race. Danny’s charisma and larger-than-life personality will likely make for some fun moments, while Jack brings his own unique appeal, especially to soap fans who’ll be rooting for him. With such a mix of personalities, this season is shaping up to be full of drama, alliances, and unexpected twists.

With Chris Hughes, Danny Beard, and Jack P. Shepherd all competing, this could be one of the most entertaining seasons in a while. It’ll be interesting to see how the dynamic unfolds—do you think Chris will keep his lead, or is there another contestant you're excited to see shake things up?

The idea of Little Britain returning in some form is exciting, especially with David Walliams hinting at a streaming comeback! Given the changing landscape of comedy and how audiences consume content, streaming platforms like Netflix could be the perfect place for the show to thrive again. Walliams is right—streaming allows for a lot more freedom, with fewer worries about cancellation or restrictions, and the potential for uncensored, more experimental comedy is huge. It could open the door for them to push boundaries in ways that traditional TV might have held back.

I’m curious about how Little Britain would evolve, though. The humor from the original show was often very edgy and of its time, so it’d be interesting to see how they adapt it to modern sensibilities. Would it still have the same characters, or would they reinvent things for a new era? Given Walliams’ mention of still writing books and planning for future projects, it sounds like he’s keeping his options open while thinking creatively about where Little Britain could go next.

The idea of a live or streamed version is intriguing, too—imagine a live, interactive format or even some kind of event-style special. I think it’d attract both old fans and a whole new generation. Do you think they’ll be able to capture the same magic if it returns, or do you think the times have changed too much?

Amanda Holden jumping into The Celebrity Traitors sounds like it could be hilarious and full of drama! It’s awesome that she’s already putting herself forward—especially after cheering on Alan Carr, who won last year. Her enthusiasm for joining the show really shows, and her comments about being a "Faithful" are interesting. I can totally see her as someone who'd play the role of a loyal teammate, but with her quick wit and charisma, she’d likely keep viewers guessing about her true intentions.

The idea of her trying to balance filming with her packed TV and radio schedule might be tricky, but it’d be fun to see how she juggles it. Amanda’s ability to bring humor and charm to almost anything she does could make her a standout on the show, whether she's a Faithful or someone who secretly pulls the wool over everyone’s eyes. I think her presence would add a lot of excitement to the mix—especially with the competitive, suspenseful nature of The Traitors.

If Amanda does manage to make it work, I’m sure the drama between her, the other celebrities, and the audience’s reactions would be must-see TV. Do you think she’ll actually end up on the show, or is it just wishful thinking for now?

I haven't had a chance to dive into Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials yet, but it definitely sounds like a fun twist on the classic Christie mystery formula! Set in 1925, with a mix of suspense, humor, and a country-house backdrop, it’s got all the ingredients for a captivating series. The fact that it's based on The Seven Dials Mystery—a novel with a strong, quirky plot—sets high expectations for the adaptation.

Mia McKenna-Bruce as Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent is intriguing; she’s got a cool mix of charm and grit that’s perfect for a character who steps up to investigate a prank gone wrong. And having Martin Freeman as Superintendent Battle brings some added gravitas and personality to the mix. Not to mention Helena Bonham Carter as Bundle's mother, Lady Caterham, which feels like a match made in casting heaven!

With a solid supporting cast including Edward Bluemel, Nyasha Hatendi, and Alex Macqueen, this is shaping up to be one of those series that blends mystery and character-driven drama really well. Plus, the 1920s setting gives it a bit of that glamorous vintage appeal. I can imagine the dynamic between the characters will be one of the highlights. Are you planning to watch it soon?

Astrid (2019) is back with its thrilling Season 5, now available in the U.S. via PBS Passport and PBS Masterpiece on Amazon Prime Video. The French series follows Astrid Nielsen, a police records specialist with an extraordinary ability to spot patterns, which helps Detective Raphaëlle Coste solve complex cases. In this new season, they tackle high-stakes crimes, including espionage, while continuing to explore long-running storylines. Astrid's sharp mind and unique skills make the series stand out, drawing in viewers who appreciate mysteries with intellectual depth.

For those looking for a British take on a similar premise, Patience (2025) is worth checking out. Set in York, England, the series introduces Patience Evans, a criminal records specialist who works alongside Detective Inspector Bea Metcalf to solve major investigations. Like Astrid, Patience centers around a character whose pattern recognition abilities play a crucial role in cracking tough cases. The UK setting adds a distinct atmosphere, combining the charm of English locales with gripping crime drama.

Both series offer a satisfying mix of intellectual puzzles and compelling character dynamics. With Astrid diving into espionage and Patience bringing a fresh perspective from York, viewers can enjoy different takes on the pattern-detecting detective trope. Whether you're a fan of French mysteries or British crime dramas, both shows promise to keep you hooked with their complex plots and strong female leads.

Sounds like Best Medicine is giving off Doc Martin vibes but with its own Boston twist! Josh Charles definitely brings that dry, witty energy that could pair well with a character like Dr. Martin Best. I’m guessing the small-town dynamic in Maine is playing the same role as the Cornish village in Doc Martin—a place where the characters’ quirks and the doctor’s no-nonsense approach create plenty of comedic tension.

Abigail Spencer as Louisa Gavin also sounds like a good match for the Doc Martin formula, with her being someone who challenges the doc and maybe helps bring him out of his shell a little. Have you caught any episodes yet? It could be fun to compare how they adapt the classic Doc Martin charm to a whole new setting and cast!
