ENJOY FRESH, SEASONAL FOODS. Unlike your local grocery store, you can only purchase food that is in season. But instead of being transported across the country and/or frozen, you’ll be able to buy some foods that were just picked in the fields earlier that same morning.
INDULGE IN FRESH AND NUTRITIOUS FOODS. Farmers selling at farmers markets adhere to careful farming methods to ensure their foods are as nutritious as possible.
BUY LOCAL. People are realizing the benefits of supporting local farmers and food providers. Your money spent is going right back into your community.
ORGANIC AND NON-GMO OFFERINGS. For those who aren’t aware, GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organism. More farmers are offering foods that are organically grown and are produced without GMO’s. While you’re shopping at the market, most farmers will give you first hand information where their food comes from and how they are grown or raised.
DISCOVER NEW FOODS. There’s always new and exciting finds that you may not have known about or seen before. It’s one way to explore interesting and locally grown items.
SAVE MONEY. Local farmers don’t have to transport their items as far as retailers food items were shipped. Usually, you’ll find better pricing at farmers markets.
SUPREME CUSTOMER SERVICE. This keeps shoppers coming back week after week. Some shopkeepers mingle with their customers and share secrets and recipe ideas.
TURN THIS TRIP INTO A SOCIAL EXCURSION. A farmers market can be a social gathering place for families and groups of friends.
IN ADDITION TO PRODUCE, YOU WILL FIND BAKED AND PREPARED FOOD. In a hurry or don’t have time to bake or cook, more farmer’s markets are offering these products for their shoppers.
VINTAGE AND/OR ARTISAN ITEMS. Some of our new vendors are carrying vintage and/or artisan items!
