Palisade peaches are abundant this season and as tasty as ever. Thanks in no small part to the blade seen in the middle of this shot and the diesel engine that turns it. When temps drop below freezing in the spring while the trees are flowering the valley is abuzz with the sound of wind machines churning the air in hopes of keeping bud killing frost at bay. While apricots didn’t fair so well many peaches and some plums came through unscathed. Summers in full swing so get yours while you can.
