Today is definitely a bittersweet day for me! ❤️

After five seasons, I’m officially passing my manager tiara 👑 to our amazing Assistant Market Manager, Mya Hernandez!

Mya started with us as an unpaid intern while attending NC State. She never missed a market day, jumped in wherever she was needed, and has become an invaluable part of our team and our FVGM family. I couldn’t be happier to pass the tiara to her, and I know the market is in great hands!

But don’t fret, I’m not going anywhere! 😂 I’ll still be part of the market working behind the scenes, and I’ll continue the outreach work that means so much to me in both Fuquay-Varina and Harnett County.

It has truly been a privilege to be part of this amazing FVGM family. A HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors and community partners, including Wake County Government, Cooperative Extension of Wake County, Town of Fuquay-Varina, the Fuquay Varina Chamber of Commerce and the Poe Center for Health Education. Your support has helped us do so much more than just hold a farmers market each Saturday and our Summer Meal Program.

And of course, a huge thank you to our farmers, vendors and volunteers who make this market what it is, and to our Assistant Manager Aimee Renee Keenan for all of her hard work and support over the years! ❤️

Most of all, thank you to our community and everyone who continues to show up, shop local and support our farmers and our market.

It’s not goodbye. You’ll still see me around! ❤️

As we finish out our 2026 season, we extend a special thank you to the Town of Fuquay-Varina and the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce for their continued partnership and support of the Fuquay-Varina Growers Market! 💚

Because of their support, we were able to enjoy an amazing season filled with hardworking local farmers, talented artisans, delicious food, community connections, and so many Saturday mornings spent bringing people together in the heart of Fuquay-Varina. From fresh local produce and handmade goods to community programs and special events, this season would not have been the same without the incredible partnerships that help make it all possible.

Thank you for believing in the importance of supporting local businesses, farmers, families, and our community. We are so grateful to call Fuquay-Varina home and cannot wait to see what next season brings! 🌽🫶

🌾 TODAY, WE CELEBRATE OUR FARMERS! 🌾

Fuquay-Varina is a town with deep agricultural roots, built by generations of people who worked the land and took pride in what they could grow, raise, and produce right here at home. And that spirit is still alive in our community today. 💚

From the meat on your table to the produce in your kitchen, the eggs in your fridge, and so much more, our farmers bring food from their hands to your table. 🥕🥚🥩🌽

But farming is more than what we see on a market table.

It’s early mornings and late nights.
It’s planting, tending, harvesting, feeding, fixing, and starting all over again.
It’s a livelihood shaped by the sun, wind, rain, soil, and seasons. ☀️🌧️🌱
It’s putting faith in the land and trusting that all those hours of hard work will become something worth sharing.

North Carolina agriculture has been a cornerstone of our state for generations, and today, farming remains a vital part of the communities that make up our state. Here in Fuquay-Varina, we’re proud to support the farmers who continue that tradition.

Because at the end of the day:
