Update on the farm:
Since Daisy's death, Wynona has stepped in to mother Fern. We bottle fed Fern for 8 weeks thinking Wynona was pregnant but she didn't have a calf this year! She is such a great mom and we are blessed that she is helping out with Fern! He is doing great and growing everyday!
We have lost two rabbits. One because of a skin disease and the other had snot out of his nose and died the next day.
Today we had to fix the fence yet again because our bull Max keeps pushing the round bales into the fence! He is such a terror when it comes to anything in the pasture!
Love the morning chore pictures! The sun rises in the pasture and it makes for great pictures!

The first thing that comes to mind when I see an extra large egg is "wow that must have been painful"!
We are getting peppers and lettuce in the garden and the tomatoes are finally growing!
We have tomatoes plants in the greenhouse that are looking for gardens!
Only $1 and they are huge!

Well today wasn't the pictureske type of day! Lots of ups and downs on the ranch today! I feel so lucky to have great neighbors and I met a beef cattle farmer who has lots of experience to share! Daisy had her first calf, a bull we named Ferndinand! Why the name, well this calf has been through alot in 12 hours! He went from healthy to almost loosing him in 12 hours! So glad to have help from my neighbors to place him in a safe spot to get him warm and healthy again! So here we are at the end of the day and I have learned so much more about the beef cattle business and Ferdinand is safe with his momma and they both have a strong will to live!
