Hearth and Field is a quarterly magazine that a friend recently shared with me…and it is ever so lovely and thought provoking. I recommend it for those that prefer the analog to the digital.

Scenes from Fair Meadows Farm this week🌻 Did anyone else see the double rainbow last night?!

Also, grateful that Eucalyptus is growing well in the flower field and will be using it in every bouquet as long as I have it available:) Some of the bouquets have some shorter stems so please make sure to keep the flowers watered and the water level high so they can last as long as possible💕

The Peace of Wild Things

The flower stand should be open within the next few weeks:)

Due to a utility line project on our property the flower cart will be on the same side as our house. The stand will be self serve with an honor box or Venmo. Hours will be Friday 12-5pm and Saturdays from 9-5pm. If I am home I will say hello❤️

Have you been to the Bossard Memorial library recently?! These are just a few of the books that I thought looked fascinating 💓

This time of year reminds me of a folk song called “English Country Garden” that I would sing with my kids. It encourages wonder about the various things found in the garden and makes me curious about what is growing in your gardens? Or planters? Or in the habits of your days? We are truly surrounded by natural abundance in SE Ohio!
I have had some garden/flower farm fails this Spring (like when my entire second bed of sunflowers drowned due to the large amount of rain and my tomatoes that are leaning because I have not added a cattle panel yet…oh, and the weeds!) BUT I have these flowers growing in the garden to share with you all in July when the flower stand opens: 💞

We are definitely experiencing Spring in Southeastern Ohio amid all of the changes in weather that this time of year entails;) I hope that you have been able to get outside and begin prepping your planters, flower beds or gardens. What a joy to see new life growing abundantly all around us!

It is officially “lamb watch 2026” at Fair Meadows Farm and we expect our Ewes to give birth within the month (some very soon!). It is always an exciting and busy time.

We are going to make some changes to our farm this growing season, with goals of making it easier for you to enjoy fresh flowers (and give fresh flowers!), and celebrate the seasons of life well. We will keep you posted❤️
