Here is your official itinerary and guide for the 12th Annual OkraFest Gala: Gardens Galactica on Saturday, August 15th! 🪐

📍 LOCATION:
Historic Galveston Water & Electric Light Community Center (715 30th St, Galveston, TX 77550)

⏰ EVENT TIMELINE:
🦪 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | VIP Cocktail Hour: VIP ticket holders get exclusive early entry, bespoke VIP-only cocktails from Daiquiri Time Out, raw oyster bar from Pier 6 Seafood, passed hors d'oeuvres from MarMo Cafe & Lounge, live custom portraits with girl who draws at parties, and a signed 2026 poster by local artist Gabriel Prusmack + everything included with GA!

🍹 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM | OkraFest Gala: Main doors open! Enjoy craft cocktails by Daiquiri Time Out, craft b**r by Galveston Island Brewing, live music from Swimwear Department, full multi-course dinner catered by Galveston Restaurant Group, our live auction, w**e pull, and raffle!

🔨 8:30 PM | Live Auction: Our live auction kicks off on stage!

🎟️ CHECKING IN:
No physical or printed tickets are needed! Simply check in at the door with the name of the person who purchased your tickets/table.

👩‍🚀 ATTIRE & OKRAHAT COMPETITION:
This year’s theme is Gardens Galactica! Wear a chapeau inspired by okra, summer produce, space, or island nature. Want to enter the competition? Tell us at registration & grab a numbered sticker! Secret judges will be covertly assessing fashion all night—just remember, if you hope to win a prize, there must be okra incorporated into your outfit somewhere!

🚕 PARKING & SAFE RIDES
Free street parking is available around the building, with ramp access on the north side. Cars cannot be left in the lot overnight, so we highly encourage carpooling, Uber, or Lyft! At the end of the night, our volunteers can help schedule a Safe Ride home sponsored by Rochkind Insurance.
