Much to the delight of our Snails, it's been 7 years since we had a proper home garden and we are packing every unconventional square inch full of veg.

It's like they knew we would be back and have quietly built an army in preparation. I respect their hard work but we ALL gotta eat around here, and frankly, they are being a little greedy.

Luckily, our neighborhood is packed with Sweet Gum Trees, who drop spikey little pods than will roll any ankle if you aren't careful but also...create such an uncomfortable walk for snails and squirrels, they are happy to retreat!!

I took a bucket around our block and scooped these little beauties from our neighbors sidewalks and happily tossed them all on our perfectly manicured beds.

And even though they look scary, they aren't that sharp and are easy enough for us to brush to the side as we need access to the plants. So now, we just sit back and watch nature restore peace and our garden grow! ❤️🌎
