Fences Down seeks to provide an outlet for local farmers to peddle their goods, without the inconsistency of traditional farmers markets, and the time consuming set-up that weekly goes with them. We have taken the model of a farmers market and merged with a consignment setting, under the title of a CSA, and created an environment where a farmer may set-up their wares and leave them for the storefr
ont to sell. This solution will significantly reduce the time our local farmers will have to spend off the farm, while still giving our community constant access to these farm-fresh goods! How it Works:
For the Vendor:
You submit an Application, and if you are approved, you will set up your goods in the store, pay a monthly fee, and the store will sell your goods for you during their regular business hours. For the Members:
In order to give you access to many fresh products that may otherwise be inaccessible, Fences Down is a Members Only shop. The great news is that membership is very affordable, and you may even be eligible to have your membership fee waived. Products you can expect to find:

Fences Down is about connecting rural farmers with other rural farmers, and pairing consumers that want fresh food with the farmers that produce it. Fences Down provides a neutral and central meeting location for networking, and drop-off/pick-up of farm goods not available in the store. In addition, there will be a few useful Homestead Supplies that are sometimes hard to otherwise find, such as cheese making supplies, butcher knives, and canning jars.
***In order to bypass many State and County regulations that would deem this mission impossible, (and to work with those that have their Cottage Food permits) Fences Down will be operating as a CSA, (Community Supported Agriculture).
***For regular members, this will not change anything other than filling out an order form when you shop.
***For Vendor Members, it will require you to register as a CSA Producer, which is $75 annually. If you sign a 6-month vendor lease with us, Fences Down will pay for your Producer Permit!
***Fences Down does not require all vendors to have a Producer Permit- Please ask us!
