A last minute end-of-summer trip across the state. We couldn’t be more thankful for the wonderful hospitality and friendship of those who are also running meat/butcher shops. We wouldn’t have met these folks without the Northwest Meat Processor's Association🥩.

We surprised Scott and Kay Honest Cut Meats LLC late on a Friday afternoon and they invited us in like family 💛!

Darron at Marzolf Meats took his entire afternoon to show us his facility 🐂, helped us with some planning efforts, and made our family his world famous corndogs. Seriously the BEST🙌 corndogs we’ve ever had!

Garfield Meats is seeking to hire a second full-time meat trimmer/processing team member. We work on a 4-10 schedule and are looking for someone who is both comfortable with hard work and eager to be part of our growing team. Experience is helpful but we are willing to train the right person. $19.00 starting wage (or more depending on experience) with advancement opportunities.

Summary of duties/requirements:
- Trim fat and meat, prepare special cuts, and run equipment to grind burger/sausage.
- Load and assist with customer orders.
- Assist wrapper position in packaging meat, as needed.
- Complete miscellaneous other duties as assigned, including helping with curing/smoking meat processes, end of day cleanup tasks, boxing/organizing meat, etc.

Schedule:
40 hours a week/10-hour shifts
Monday to Thursday, 6am-4pm
Overtime opportunities during peak business times
Sick time
Paid vacation time and retirement benefits available after 500 hours of service

Qualifications and Performance Standards:
Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
Able to lift 65+ lbs.
Strong work ethic, dependable, and have willingness to learn production processes in a fast-paced environment.
Provide excellent and efficient customer service.
Be able to stand for long periods in a cool environment.
Ability to complete tasks asked for by the owners or by the team.
