Did you know that packing a zero-waste lunch can make a huge difference for both your wallet and the planet?

Switching from single-use plastic bags, foil, and disposable containers to a reusable lunchbox is one of the easiest ways to build sustainable habits!

Want to learn how easy zero-waste packing can be? Stop by the Portage County Soil & Water Conservation District tent at the market this evening for a fun, hands-on activity demonstrating smart ways to pack a sustainable lunch!

Kids who participate in the activity will get to take home a brand-new glass lunch container to kickstart their eco-friendly lunch routine AND receive a $10 fruit and veggie voucher to use at the market thanks to Daystar Ford!

We are excited to welcome, Bull & Bloom Dahlias to the market tomorrow with their Build-Your-Own Dahlia Bar! You'll be able to mix, match, and hand-pick your favorite blooms to craft your own custom, stunning bouquet to take home.

Bull & Bloom is owned by town local, Traci Snode. Traci raises full-size Scottish Highland Cattle for beef and breeding, but four years ago, a small spark turned into a full-blown passion.
And now, what started with just 12 dahlias in the ground, has blossomed into over 200 distinct varieties planted!

Her goal? To share the pure joy and beauty of fresh cut flowers with family, friends, and the local community.

3 Fun Facts About Traci:
•She put herself through college in Boston bartending at The Bull & Finch Pub—the real-life inspiration for the TV show Cheers!

•She originally moved to Ohio in 1999 as a dolphin and sea lion trainer in Animal Care at SeaWorld.

•She has been a dedicated 4-H Advisor in Geauga County for 22 years, helping lead one of the largest Pygmy Goat clubs in Ohio!

Stop by the market, say hello, and build a bouquet!

Bryan holds a degree in Beef Production & Management from OSU ATI, and in 2020, he expanded the farm by adding their very first greenhouse to innovate how they grow.

3 fun facts about Bryan:

•Bryan started out farming by raising chickens and selling eggs on the side of the road around 8 years old.

•Bryan once got beat up so badly by a cow, he broke his tailbone.

•Bryan is an avid cook. He loves to experiment and create new dishes from scratch, making his own sauces, rubs, seasonings, and meals. He is very talented in the kitchen!

Meet our farmer! Wolf Family Sustainable Farm

Their Story -
After working on sustainability-focused farms throughout college, Kate couldn’t imagine following any other career path. Following a few years of farming in West Virginia, Kate and her husband Luke moved to Ohio to be closer to family. They initially started Wolf Family Sustainable Farm on a small piece of leased land in Green before purchasing our current home and land near Garrettsville at the end of 2024.

Their Farming Philosophy
Kate and Luke are deeply dedicated to growing high-quality food for our local communities while stewarding the land for future generations. To them, that means: Utilizing low-till methods to protect soil health. Diversifying the crop varieties and animals we raise. Strictly avoiding all pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers

Kate and Luke love connecting with people who share their passion for local, sustainably-produced food!

3 fun facts about them:
1. Luke caught the 3rd largest Black Crappie in New York back in 2001!
2. They didn’t sell any sweet corn in 2025 because Kate ate every last ear (her personal daily record: 13 ears in one sitting!).
3. They spent their honeymoon in Pascagoula, Mississippi because we’re huge Jimmy Buffett fans!

Be sure to stop by and say hi to Kate and Luke this week at the market!

The market is open every Thursday • 4:00-7:00pm • Main Street • June - Aug.
