Hulitt Homestead, located in Portage, IN, is a local farm producer partnered with the NWI Food Council to provide fresh, sustainable produce and agricultural products to the community.

They are featured in the NWI Food Council’s initiatives, including the "FarmHer to Mama" program providing nutrition support to vulnerable first-time parents in Northwest Indiana.

They are also dedicated partners of the Miller Beach Farmers Market.

We want to support the Hulitt Homestead by helping them prepare for their planting season this coming Saturday morning.

We will be working outdoors.

Carpentry skills would be a plus since most of their fence was damaged in the recent storms.

Please dress for the weather and add an extra layer if the wind is blowing.
