Good news, Mississinewa families!

FREE breakfast and lunch meals will continue for all Mississinewa Community Schools students during the 2026-2027 school year through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Every enrolled student can enjoy a nutritious breakfast and lunch at no cost.

If you haven’t already, please create your family account in SchoolCafe and complete the Income Survey. The survey helps determine eligibility for free or reduced school fees and provides important funding information for our schools.

Completing the Income Survey does not affect your child’s eligibility for free school meals. All students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch regardless of your survey responses.

Grab & Go Meal Distribution is this Wednesday!

Join us Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mississinewa High School for our weekly Grab & Go Meal Distribution!

Reminder: parents or legal guardians must pick up meals for children.

Thank you to Wildcat Farms at Indiana Wesleyan for some fresh produce to accompany this week’s meal distribution. We appreciate their partnership and support of our students and families!

In case you missed the communication that went out last evening, Mississinewa Community Schools has officially transitioned from LINQ to SchoolCafe!

SchoolCafe is your new one-stop location to:
• Add money to meal accounts
• Pay school fees
• Complete Free & Reduced Eligibility Applications (available July 1)
• View menus, nutrition, and allergen information (coming soon)

All existing meal account balances have already been transferred.

The primary guardian will receive a Student PIN Notification Letter by email within the next 1 to 2 business days. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder if you don't see it. Once you receive your student's PIN, linking your account is quick and easy!

Wow! We distributed 11,578 meals in just 2 distribution days!

Just a reminder:

We will NOT have Grab & Go meal distribution next week due to the holiday week.
We will be back on Wednesday, July 8, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
If you haven't signed up yet, there's still time! Complete your registration today.
If you're already signed up, you're all set for the remainder of the summer. No need to register again!

🚨 Grab-N-Go Meal Distribution Reminder! 🚨

📅 Distribution is TOMORROW
⏰ 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

✅ Meal kits are assembled and ready to go for families who were preregistered as of NOON today. Remember: If you signed up once, you are good to go for the duration, please don't sign up again.

⚠️ Due to a record number of signups, you must have been preregistered by noon today to be guaranteed a meal bag. We are unable to guarantee meals for anyone who registers after that time.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent or guardian pickup only.
🚫 The state does not allow babysitters, neighbors, friends, or other individuals to pick up meals on behalf of a family.

IMPORTANT: Please plan for the parent or legal guardian to pick up meal bags. State regulations do not allow babysitters, neighbors, relatives, or other individuals to pick up meals on behalf of a family. We are required to follow these guidelines and are not given any flexibility on this requirement.
