Moonstone Farm

Moonstone Farm Moonstone Farm is a family owned and operated business in the Matanuska Valley. Come check us out!

Our farm has been in the family since 1935 when my husband's grandparents arrived in the Matanuska Valley with the Colonists. The history of farming is rich in this fertile valley and the importance of preserving farmland to provide food for future generations is important to us. 5 generations of the Church Family have called this land home. We work hard to grow the highest quality food with the lowest impact on the environment as possible.

There’s termination dust on the mountain and a crisp bite to the mornings and the apples are ripening - it feels like fall! This September at Moonstone Farm, we’ve got lots to look forward to. For the last three Saturdays of the month, we’ll have food trucks open alongside the Railcar from 2-8 pm (or until sold out). Our market will definitely be on for the next two weekends from 2-6 pm. Come out the next two weeks to get stuff for sure, but know we’ll have pop-up markets at the Railcar as far into the fall as we can. Starting September 17, pop-up markets will be announced on social media depending on weather, frost, and moose activity.

New at the market this week, we’ll have apples, fire cider, no dark days tincture, and the last of our pickled peas. Expect more pre-made specials any day we don’t have a food truck here (we’ve got banana bread in the works for tomorrow).

And as a sneak peak of October, we’ll be hosting Alaska Adventure Chef for a farm to table dinner at the Railcar on Saturday, October 3. We’re finalizing the menu, and will provide more info on tickets soon.

Thanks for your support so far this season - your continued patronage in the fall help us pay for our new moose fence so we have even more produce to sell next year!

Can’t wait to see you this weekend! 🍂
