The symbolism of the wreath goes far back beyond the time of Christmas. The unbroken circle, the eternal cycle of life and the evergreens tenacity to live and thrive through the harshness of winter. It's not just a decoration, but a tradition of the heart.
The season has wound down to an end for me. As I'm sitting having my coffee by the light of our Christmas tree(s), I'm reminded how special it really is that we get to be a little part of every customer's Christmas. Every time I look at my decorations, I get beamed back into time, remembering all the wonderful memories. Wreaths on the doors, garland around every window, the smells, the warmth, the family. Ornaments that were on my childhood trees, my grandparents trees, others my nieces and nephews made for us, one with my Grandmothers handwriting, Jax fist bulb. It's a gentle reminder to be grateful for this blessing of another holiday season.
Sometimes the busy of the holidays takes over and we forget that winter is a time of rest, of planning, of dreaming. That Christmas isn't about cramming all the things in, it's about remembering, giving, loving, and taking the time to breathe in the magic.
I hope my wreaths and greens bring you a bit of joy and remembrance. I offer you all, a heartfelt thank you for allowing us to be a tiny piece of your holiday, it's really an honor.
Much love...The Hopp's π
