Rafael — Foreman of Rileys’ U-Pick
For 14 years, Rafael has helped lead the way at Rileys’ U-Pick as the garden manager. From planting the first seeds of the season to making sure the last produce gets picked, Rafael is involved in just about every part of keeping the garden growing.
He manages the day-to-day work, helps oversee the planting and growing, tackles whatever challenges Mother Nature throws our way, and works alongside a hardworking team that keeps the garden, fields, and barn moving.
Fourteen years of U-Pick gardening takes dedication, patience, long hours, and a willingness to get your hands dirty. And if you know Rafael, you know there’s also plenty of humor along the way.
He’s the problem-solver, garden guy, and resident comedian—and after 14 years, he’s still out there making it happen.
