🐾 It’s been over one week since our barn kitties were released, and each one has already carved out their own role here at Risen Acres…
Benaiah (aka Benny Boy) — our little lion cub — is everything you’d hope for. Playful, affectionate, and full of personality! He explores during the day, but always comes running when called for food, snuggles and playtime. He has won the hearts of our whole family… and even Lois the cow comes over just to give him a gentle lick🥰🙏🏼
Jael — our white-marked guardian — still calls her crate and pen home base (even using her litter box!), but don’t let that fool you… she likes occasional pets and affection, and ventures out of the pen to take on her role as protector of the pole barn! In the morning, she leaves behind evidence of battles fought and won during the night🐭
Naamah — our smallest and youngest — has officially gone full blown wild kitty😆! She roams freely, occasionally appearing at our sliding glass door just to taunt Ezra Kitty inside 😅. She keeps her distance from us, but faithfully returns each evening for a good meal. Independent and thriving.
You may notice their tipped ears — a small mark that tells a bigger story. It’s a sign of their feral past and the care they received through a trap-neuter-return service… once wandering without a home, now redeemed, protected and provided for.
These barn cats are such a blessing — each uniquely designed, each fulfilling their purpose💕🐾✝️ We continue to thank God for the Community Cats Coalition in their work that led to these once feral kitties finding their home and abundance of love here on Risen Acres 🙏🏼✝️
📖 “The righteous care for the needs of their animals…” — Proverbs 12:10
And the greatest care we’ve ever been shown is this:
📖 “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 ✝️
Because of Jesus, we’re not left as we are — we’re loved, pursued, and redeemed.
