This is awesome! More schools should do this so that kids understand what it takes to harvest their own food.

A Chugiak High School science teacher brought in a moose for his freshman class to start quartering and processing the meat.
Throughout this preparation, students will be learning about subsistence living and harvesting techniques. The teacher acquired the moose through an educational harvest permit.

What are your thoughts on this being taught in schools?
