It soup season!! While we love soup, we don't love burned fingers when you take that steaming bowl out of the microwave. Enter Nancy, a local artisan who lovingly makes a variety of crafts, including these bowl cozies. Say goodbye to burned fingers and hot hands!

In the mood for a baked potato but want to make life a little easier? Try one of Nancy's baked potato envelopes. Just stick your potato in there, microwave it, and boom! Baked Potato!

The apple of my eye👀

This variety is called the Arkansas Black. They have a medium flavor profile, neither super sweet or tart. They are great for snacking, baking, and more! Plus, they're as local as they come, grown right here in Summer Shade!! Churntop Farms, one of our vendors, is bringing these beauties to the market, plus jams, jellies, soaps, and plenty of apple fun facts.

Even though the frosts are starting to hit, we still have flowers and blooms for ya! Angie High, with Petal Seekers Farm, will be at the market on Saturday with dried flowers, amaryllis bulbs (which make fabulous gifts!!), peony roots, and other bulbs. You won't want to miss it.

What else will you find at the winter market? Beef, pork, chicken, lamb, eggs, squash, leafy greens, honey, jams, jellies, bread, carrots, sweet potatoes, jewelry, gifts, AND MORE! All locally raised or made by our fabulous farmers and vendors!

We are moving off the square, but don't worry! You can still shop your favorite local farmers all winter long at the winter farmers' market. Winter market is held the first and third Saturday of the month, at the Ag Extension office, located at 1463 W. Main St, Glasgow, KY 42141.

To make things a little more fun, we have created a Winter Market Bingo.

1. Come to the market and visit Eleni, the market manager, to collect a bingo board.
2. Shop the market.
3. See Eleni before you leave to stamp your market card.
4. Every time you get a bingo, you will receive 1 entry to a drawing to win your choice of Bounty of the Barrens T-shirt.

Can't wait to get your hands on a T-shirt?? We have them for sale at the market booth every Saturday. Your purchase supports our Double Dollars program and helps us keep the market running. Shirts are available in adult sizes with a limited selection of youth sizes in navy, maroon, green, tie-dye, plus a few odds and ends from earlier printings.

BOTBFM is administered by Sustainable Glasgow, Inc. It is a place to meet local producers face-to-face and learn more about their products. It's also a great way to build the local economy, buy healthy foods and connect with people from this great community. The Market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m.- noon May-October on the Barren County courthouse lawn and provides a beautiful shaded area to shop, eat, enjoy live music and visit with vendors, neighbors and friends. Enjoy a unique, relaxing experience and take in all the Bounty of the Barrens has to offer.
