35+ (in GC) and 25+ (in GN) local food purveyors and artisans every week. The Deep Roots Farmers Market offers locally grown produce, eggs, meats and dairy, fresh baked bread and sweets, honey, maple syrup, grab-and-go as well as bake-at-home prepared foods and othe
r locally made goods. All products are grown or made on Long Island (or by Long Islanders). All produce is grown using chemical free growing practices. Weekly guest craft/artist vendors and live music, too! GLEN COVE/GARVIES POINT PARK PARKING: IF you are able, please park in the FERRY TERMINAL parking lot and walk along the waterfront promenade. Walk west to the far side of the Beacon Condo. There is also on-street parking near the market. GREAT NECK/FIREFIGHTERS PARK: Sundays 10AM-2PM. GREAT NECK PARKING:
Plenty of free parking on-street or in adjacent lot. DOGS: Dogs are welcome at Deep Roots Farmers Markets as long as they are well behaved and kept on leash. Please be mindful that the Glen Cove market is located in an asphalt parking lot and the blacktop can get very hot in the summer. The white sidewalks and the grassy areas around the perimeter are cooler. Deep Roots Farmers Market’s mission is to support local farms, makers and businesses and to bring fresh and locally made and grown products to our community. We aim to foster entrepreneurship, to enhance the well being of the community and create a “sense of place.”
Our goals are to:
* Provide an opportunity for local farmers, fishers, food producers, and artisans to sell their wares directly to the customer�
* Build community by providing a healthy way to gather and connect on a regular basis�
* Educate patrons with practical ways to maintain the connection with their food sources�
* Help fill the growing demand for fresh, locally grown and prepared foods
* Provide a venue for local non-profit organizations to connect with community members�
Potential Vendors - we are strictly a makers and growers market. We do not allow sales of products that are purchased wholesale for resale, MLM products or any or promotion of services. Local non-profits may inquire about tabling on a guest basis.
