❤️ WHY WE’RE DOING THIS

A historic spring freeze devastated Pochuck Valley Farms’ apple crop, eliminating this year’s apple-picking season and creating an unexpected financial burden. Pochuck has supported our community for years, now it’s our turn to support them. ❤️

Event proceeds will benefit Pochuck Valley Farms, including a portion of proceeds from the Haunted Trail, presented by the Vernon Township High School SCA. The remaining Haunted Trail proceeds will support the VTHS SCA.

Hello everyone, this is michelle from Pochuck Valley Farms. We won’t be doing you Pick this year, but we will still have our c***r very soon. We will have some apples. We will be doing pick your own pumpkins up in the Orchard so you can also see the trees that won’t be starting till the first week in October as of right now please support our Farm. This is a tremendous loss for us. actually the lifetime in the farm we have never lost almost every apple & pear, and peaches and plums we lost all. We have a 1% crop of apples and about a 1% crop pears whatever we have will be turned into c***r, baked goods, and I’m sure we used to have some apples out on the stand as different crops become available. We will be offering still the living history weekend on October 2,3,4
And also, we will be having Haunted Trail and vendor fair on October 10. In which we are partnering with the VTHS Sca and also the Vernon Chamber of Commerce. We still make our donuts every day and all different Baked Goods. Pochuck Valley Farms Market and Deli Glenwood NJ

This fall is gonna be a little different this year during the freeze in April. We lost almost all of our Apples and our Pears. We plan on still doing something in our Orchard with pumpkins this year and possibly doing a scavenger hunt or something else. 
This is a major blow on our family farm. The peaches 🍑 and plums will not be for Pick your own this year we lost the whole crop.
Thankfully, we have the store and wonderful customers to come in. We will be going way upstate New York to get Apples so hopefully we’ll be able to still make c***r and sell apples in the store as of right now we have probably about 13 trees that have a good amount of fruit on them. This has never happened to us in the past 114 years. Unfortunately, this did not just affect us. Most farms from Georgia all the way up to Albany were hit. Some people have only one percent crop and other people have about 40% crop.

We still plan on doing something with class trips we’re working on what we are going to be doing. We will still be having wagon rides going into the Orchard where will we will have our pumpkins. Please support our farm and the local Farms around. This is an unprecedented event.
Right now we have been cutting hay for people to buy.
