Ma & Pa’s Pickles

My Name is Myron Lapine . I have live in Gloucester mas my 57 years of life born and raised here. I had all way’s worked on the Gloucester water front on the docks, and boats as a Lobster men and fishermen. Well I day I met a friend who let me try some really good home made pickles is was in 2000. Then I bought my first canning book and canning kit and started out with Bread & Butter chips my friends and I loved them. I had a friend Paul who talked me into the Topsfield fair canning coemption My first year 3place and a 4 place . the very next year we won on our bread & butter pickles Blue Ribbon and we as so had a Blue Ribbon Blue Berries in a simple syrup Which bye the time we stop showing there was a ten year in a row Blue Ribbon winner . We a few years later I became ill will hip problems lack of blood getting two my hip heads and they were dying and need two be replaced. God know what 2012 doctor say you need two retire and cant due what you were doing so lost it was killing me. Well shortly after have my first hip replaced they say is lose and needs two be replaced not so sure if I can due it ever. in 2014 I started working with Mass rehabilitation commission two start a small Business after at lot of work and quitting a few times I maid it through got approved and now running a farmers Market stand called Ma & Pa’s Pickles Etc. I have been asked a few time why Ma & Pa’s well for me my dad would al make home root beer fr us kids and mom is and all way's a great cook so thought well some thing like my ma 7 Pa would make or yours or your grand parents hopping two strike a memory. Well hare I am 2017 few more gray hairs few more canning jars made and sold still trying two go a little bigger. I dream of making a weeks pay I love when people say how great they are and more I so am very proud of them and well whish I new a little more two get a bit bigger.
