Left alone, flour and water cannot sustain life. However, when you mix these simple ingredients together, something magical happens. When they are combined, fermentation begins, releasing natural organisms that transform two inert substances into the life sustaining food we know as bread. All of our breads are naturally fermented and contain all the natural goodness in the wheat; minerals, acids,

vitamins and proteins. Our bread is made with a high ratio of water-to-flour and we use only Non-GMO, whole wheat flour. Crust bread is naturally fermented using a "starter" that has been maintained without interruption for more than 7 years. Stay tuned for tips on how to care for, slice, store and cook with Crust bread as well as new product offerings.
