Oh hey....lookie here. It's official. Our High Tunnel is ON FIRE this year! First it was the cukes...then the cherry tomatoes. Now, we are picking squash and red tomatoes. Within a week, we will have beans and green peppers too! The catch 22 is that packing a lot into a fairly small space means that there isn't a ton of anything. So, I can't guarantee that we have everything every day (or at every Farmer's Market). Most of this stuff isn't even "seasonal" for another month to month and a half!

Today though, we have tomatoes. Real, delicious, red tomatoes, grown in soil, and tasting like summer. Come and get em!!
...also, sidenote. We just picked a TON of strawberries. So, those too!

Took a few glamour shots of my best babies in the garden today...and then Dave decided to jump in too. 😂

Did you know that all the plants in the garden are perennials that we sell? A few are sold out for the season, but the majority of them are available, including those massive peonies. The poppies and baptisia will be back for sale next year though.
Many of hese plants were planted just over two years ago. The smaller peonies, the sedum and the liatris were all added last summer.

We have the goods!

Just get here by 5PM, as we will be closing early today. Niel's Senior Award Ceremony is tonight, and we don't have coverage for the store.

Also, we are out of Growing Wild Kits. We do have native perennials for sale, but the free kits are gone. Visit the Growing Wild website for details on upcoming events where you can get one of our kits.

If you need a ray of cheer, head to your local farmers' market, where early season crops and veggie starts for your home garden are waiting for you. Most markets take HIP and SNAP, while some have vendors who take them.

Happy Mother’s Day! My "mini me" has to work today, but she spent the night last night so we could spend some time together before we both had to work. Plus, she and Niel were first in line this morning to get beignets from for me. So, I can't complain!

We are here all day with lots of beautiful plants for you. We have the tomato and pepper plants out. So, be sure you make it to the second greenhouse if you are looking for those. I'll try to get a list of varieties posted tomorrow. As always, there will be free flowers for all Moms coming through the checkout today.

It's almost Mother’s Day! I know the weather is rather dreary, but it is toasty and dry in the greenhouses. Not sure what to get for the Moms in your life? I'll be here all weekend, helping take hanging baskets down from high hooks as well as offering my very popular "Ask a Mom" services. 😂
