The Face of Seti I.
Seti I's face is one of the best preserved in all of Ancient Egyptian history. He died 3,298 years ago and reigned while on one of Egypt's wealthiest peaks. One of the most famous pharaohs of all time, II. He was Ramses' father. The greatest pharaoh of all time. When he died, Egyptian Mummification was at the pinnacle of absolute perfection.
It is generally considered the best preserved mummy in the world.

This house in South Windsor, Connecticut is a classic example of a 18th century saltbox-style house. The term comes from the shape of the house, which resembles the type of boxes that salt used to be stored in. The typical layout of the house included two rooms in the front part of the ground floor, two rooms above them on the second floor, and a kitchen in the back of the house, beneath the long sloping roof.

This house also has a “coffin door” on the right side of the house. This type of door was said to have been used for funerals, since the large central chimney created a small, crowded front entryway that made it difficult to move large objects in and out.

The house was built sometime in the first half of the 1700s, and the top photo shows its appearance around the late 1930s. It was in poor condition by that point, but it has since been restored to its colonial-era appearance, and it stands as one of the many historic homes in the East Windsor Hill neighborhood of South Windsor.

Have you ever seen this kind of corn? It’s called calico corn.

With its unreal shiny kernels glimmering like rare jewels, it looks more like pieces of jewelry than actual corn with different shades of pink, purple, yellow, green and blue.

Unlike sweet corn, calico corn isn’t generally eaten off the cob. Most people grind it up into cornmeal and use it in tortillas or grits because it’s very starchy.

It can also be used to make popcorn (although it doesn’t come out rainbow-colored). To do this, the corn is harvested when it’s dry and brown. Kernels need a low moisture content to pop when heated. You can dry the corn further inside, with the husks removed, until the kernels fall off the cob.

It is also great for ornamental purposes.

On my way home from a 12 hour day of cutting lawns, I seen this gentleman, I have no clue who he is to this day. But I said no way was I gonna let this guy tackle this on his own. So I turned around and went back and unloaded my mower and drove across the street and ask the gentleman if I could help. His eyes lit up and I took that as a yes. I ran down, jumped on my mower and went to work. As I’m cutting the lawn I look over and see the gentleman hunched over his wife, resting his head on her shoulder. So I get it knocked out in no time. I give them a thumbs up and proceeded to load my mower up. The wife makes her way over before I could leave. She was so thankful! Their riding mower broke down and her husband has been mowing their big lawn with a push mower. It only took 15 mins of my time. I changed their life, for a small moment. I hope someone reads this and feels like doing something good for someone tomorrow. I’m grateful to be where I’m at and I’m thankful for the people that help me get here.
