Thanks again so much to Miky Semrad for coming out and performing at the market yesterday! This next Saturday (8/22) The Hanyaks will be back to perform from 10-12 and the Battle Bus Mobile Arcade will be back as well! We hope to see you all on Saturday 8-12 at 1607 S. Locust.

A little rain won’t stop us! Unless there is severe weather, lightning, or unsafe conditions, the market will go on as planned.

We’re giving our vendors a little extra time to get set up this morning, but everyone will be ready for customers by 8:30 AM at the latest!

¡Esta semana estamos muy emocionados de presentarles a Qué Carreta y a su creadora, Indira! 💚

Indira comenzó Qué Carreta en 2024 con mucho esfuerzo, ilusión y el deseo de compartir un pedacito de sus raíces mexicanas con nuestra comunidad. Desde frutas y raspados 🍓🍉 hasta aguas frescas 🥤 y deliciosos antojitos, todo lo que ofrece Qué Carreta está lleno de sabor y, aún más importante, hecho con mucho amor.

2024 también fue el primer año de GI Area Farmers Market, por lo que Indira y nuestro mercado han tenido la oportunidad especial de crecer juntos. Como ella misma nos compartió, el mercado se convirtió en un lugar donde pudo ganar confianza, creer en su proyecto y sentirse parte de una comunidad.

Para Indira, Qué Carreta es mucho más que un negocio. Cada sábado es una oportunidad de convivir, conocer nuevas personas, compartir alegría y conectar con los clientes que regresan semana tras semana. Cada venta y cada palabra de apoyo significan muchísimo. ✨

Meet Your Market: The Soda Shop - Grand Island’s Dirty Soda Stop🥤✨

This week we're excited to introduce The Soda Shop, a women-owned Grand Island business bringing colorful drinks, sweet treats, and plenty of fun to our community!

What started as an idea between friends who simply loved creating fun drinks has grown into so much more. Today, The Soda Shop has their own storefront right here in Grand Island AND their adorable mobile trailer that travels to events around the area — and we're lucky enough to have them joining us at the market!

From dirty sodas and energy drinks to homemade lemonade, there's always something fun to try. At their storefront, you'll find even more, including popcorn, snacks, baked goods, and other goodies.

But The Soda Shop is about more than what's on the menu. They've made giving back to the community a priority and work hard to create a fun, welcoming, and safe space for everyone — something we're especially proud to have represented at our market. 💚
