FAQ: Are mountain lions good eating?

Absolutely!! Mountain lion meat is similar to dark pork and incredibly versatile. Here’s how you can enjoy it:

Backstraps: Cut into steaks and prepared like pork chops.

Shoulders & hindquarters: Perfect for roasts—slow cook/smoke and shred for sandwiches, tacos, or ground for sausage.

Hindquarters (extra tip!): Can also be steaked, tenderized, and used for stir fry or country fried dishes.

Sausage: Mountain lion makes a fantastic addition to bulk sausage recipes.
