It has been handpicked and packed directly from our local farmers in my hometown, Phu Yen.
Located along the South-Central Coast of Vietnam, the province of Phu Yen is blessed with a diverse and fertile ecosystem that provides a superior environment for growing a variety of agricultural products. Because of its proximity between the Truong Song Mountains and the South China Sea, the hot and humid tropical climate provides the ideal conditions for bountiful harvests year-round. One of the most abundant products harvested in Phu Yen is peppercorn.
Since ancient times, farmers in Phu Yen have utilized their ideal geographic location for growing peppercorns to help Vietnam become the leading producer of pepper in the world. Their understanding and knowledge of the climate, land, and technique of how to harvest peppercorns from seed to table have been passed down for generations throughout the Central Vietnam Highlands.
For decades, our family at Twee has lived in Phu Yen and we have had the fortune of enjoying the abundance of spices, fruits, and vegetables that our fertile region has provided us.
