Fishel's Organics Fishel Organic Farm is a USDA Certified Organic farm in Grassy Creek, NC. Fishel’s Organics was established in 2011 by Sanford and Debbie Fishel.

Sanford began his career in soil and water conservation before moving from Winston Salem, NC to Ashe County to farm Christmas trees. After 20+ years of farming beautiful fraser fir Christmas trees, the Fishel’s sought to diversify. Sanford’s knack for gardening and his roots in conservancy led him to begin an organic farm. ity. That year they planted Kale, Rainbow Chard, Radishes, Beets, Cucumbers, Beans, Snow Peas, Many varieties of squash, Broccoli, Cabbage, and 49 different varieties of tomatoes! Organic farming has been a learning experience and a rewarding adventure. Visit us Saturdays at the Watauga County Farmer’s Market or stop by the farm to see us in action! Sanford and Debbie would like to thank all the many individuals who have helped them on this new venture, especially Joe Martin and Sally Thiel of Zydeco Moon. Their knowledge and eagerness to help has been invaluable!
