The time has come for me to move on….
My original plan was to close Clark’s and lease out the building… but life had other plans. The right buyer came forward and purchased the building and now it’s time for me to step into what’s next.
I opened Clark’s when I was 26 years old with honestly no damn clue how to run a business. Over the past 8 years, I’ve learned more than I ever could have imagined — mostly the hard way, but those are usually the lessons that shape you the most.
As cliché as it sounds, this place shaped me in ways I didn’t expect. It taught me lessons I’ll carry into future businesses, future goals, and just everyday life — and for that, I’ll always be grateful.
I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am for this community. The loyalty, encouragement, and support over the years have meant so much to me. There are so many customers I will truly miss… some not so much — kidding, kidding of course😏😉
To every employee who has worked alongside me through the years, thank you. But, I want to give a very special shout-out to my dream team — my dad Todd, Sis, Kenze, and Bailey — there truly aren’t words. They didn’t just work here, they stood beside me. They carried weight when things were heavy, they showed up on the hard days, the long nights, and the moments when I wasn’t sure how I was going to keep going. Clark’s would not have survived without them. And that’s a fact.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with Josh and my daughter and focusing on the things that bring me real joy.
With all of that being said, Clark’s official last day will be this Friday (inventory dependent). We’re running low on some items and already sold out of others, so be sure to stop in while you can!
The good news? The new ownership plans to keep the same great food you’ve come to know and love and will be reopening soon.
With love,
Ariel 💕
