Lunch time at Berger Farms. This week we have lettuce, spinach and a new green leaf chard. No zucchini for now, but our yellow squash is tender, refined and delicious. Two other types of squash and very few cucumbers ( thanks to Merrick ). Onions, shallots, garlic and potatoes. Plenty of beautiful tomatoes.

There seams to be some confusion about my post involving our wash water. We have had several questions about what wash water is. We use our well water to rinse soil from root crops and cool leafy greens. This water contains valuable microbes and soil nutrients that I would like to return to the gardens. So, instead of letting that water fall to the ground, we collect it so we can re-use it. It takes longer and involves extra steps, but I believe this practice produces a healthier farm while preventing the waste of the most precious material on earth. Win-win.

We will be harvesting another round of lettuce and spinach for Saturdays market. Same varieties as Friday. Come and get em. Saturday 10-2.

Did you know? All of our wash water is reused to water plants as needed around the farm. Just one of our small steps to leave our planet in a better place when we leave it than when we arrived. Just think, if everyone did just one thing to make our planet a little healthier. And there you have it, Bob's your uncle.
WE HAVE LETTUCE. Beautiful and healthy. Red butter. curly green summer crisp and green romaine. Carrots, squashes, onions, garlic, potatoes, spinach and buckets of tomatoes.
Open Friday 10-4 and Saturday 10-2.

Redumblican Logic.
It appears, if you are a redumblican senator, that nominating a man who is currently breaking the laws of the United States of America to the elite position of enforcing the laws of the United States of America, somehow makes perfect sense. The same sense that elects a criminal found guilty of felony fraud, guilty of sexual assault and guilty of attempting to over-throw the Government of the United States after having a temper tantrum because he got his snow flake ass whipped in a free and fair election, to the most powerful position in the world.
In a redumblican world, logic is a dangerous word. Maybe we should replace it with a word that more accurately describes their actions. Stupid.

Sorry for the late post. We have about a dozen lettuce this week. Beets, orange and purple carrots. Three types of squash, some zucchini and cucumbers are trying to make a return. Shallots, garlic and some lovely yellow onions. Spinach, buckets of beautiful tomatoes and I will be checking to see if some early maturing broccoli are ready for harvest. Hope to see you here.
Open Friday 10-4 and Saturday 10-2.

Good news bad news this week. Bad news is this weeks lettuce is too small and not ready for harvest. Mother nature seams to have little interest in my intensely timed lettuce schedule. Good news is tomato season has officially begun. We have a nice selection for sale this week. Three kinds of squash, zucchini and cucumbers. Beets and carrots. Onions, shallots and garlic.
Open Friday 10-4. Saturday 10-2.

Thanks to the stupidity and greed of trump, we have a new enemy. Not to be confused with the many, many, many enemies trump has manufactured for his corruption empire to continuously loot the treasury and the money the hard working people of America have put in it. Our new enemy is, wait for it, communism. I know what you are thinking. Didn't we defeat communism like 45 years ago. We did.
This new communism that trump and his puppets are touting is one where any government, any agency, any office or anybody does something to help or assist anyone who may be in need.
Lets look at a few of the trump communists. Do you help your neighbor shovel the snow from their driveway after a big storm? Do you volunteer as an election official? Do you drive for meals on wheels, an obvious communist organization. Do you work at your local food bank? Do you provide labor for your local school or church when needed? Would you carry a grocery bag for an elderly citizen or hold the door open for the person coming in behind you? Do you check on your neighbors from time to time, just to make sure things are OK? IS THIS YOU? Well then, let me inform you my friend, that you are indeed a communist. WELCOME TO THE CLUB.
As a so called communist, I want OUR government to operate in the same manner. I want our tax dollars to be spent to improve the daily lives of ALL of the American people. How many school lunches does the cost of one cruise missile buy. Someone tell Pete, low T, Hegseth that. I would like to think that there are are at least as many so called communists as there are antifa in this great nation of ours. If we spent as much time helping the people in need as we do calling them names, just think how strong our nation could become. It is time to let the blind, deaf and dumb elected elite know this. Medi-kid, hell yes.
No one knows what you think until you open your mouth. Sound off America. Your voice is needed now.
