We forgot to thank Main Street Downtown Greenfield for hosting us at the August First Thursday event. We had a blast! I’m forever grateful for any opportunity to share our love of fresh goods with the community, enjoy the sunshine, and make new friends. Special thanks to Ali for everything you do!

To the community - We will continue to have pickles available for special orders. Small containers will continue to be $2 each, and we will be soon introducing large containers 😋

We will also have more Cucumber bread to come!

Did you know you can bake with cucumbers?? 🥒
We will be set up at First Thursday tomorrow with 5 different varieties of cucumber quick bread. It is delicious, refreshing, and most definitely worth a try.

We love to see it 🌽

🌽 The community sweet corn patch is ready! 🌽

‼️Please park on the concrete parking lot in front of the office building not the gravel driveway.

🌱Please only pick sweet corn directly in front of the white office/shop building at this time.

🌱Please do not pick from the plot in front of the grain bins that is marked with caution tape and “Do Not Enter” signs. We plant sweet corn in multiple stages so it matures at different times, allowing more families in our community to enjoy fresh sweet corn throughout the season.

✨ Not sure which ears are ready? Look for ears with brown, dry, brittle silks (the “hair” at the end of the ear). Those are the ears that are ready to pick. If the silks are still green and moist, give them a little more time.

Please be mindful of how much you take so as many families as possible can enjoy fresh sweet corn. Thank you for helping us share this with our community. Happy picking! 🌽💛

How lucky am I to spend my Sunday mornings sipping coffee and teaching my 3 year old how to know when beans are ready to be picked? It was my pleasure to watch her little fingers sift through the plants, carefully inspecting each pod as if she was choosing the correct wire to snip to disable a bomb. Her gentle touch and pure focus on the task in front of her reminded me to stop and soak this in. Life is so busy, the hustle and bustle is never ending, but it’s important to take a second to breathe it all in. The simple life is a beautiful one. We are the ones that over complicated life. As we teach them, we must also take a second to learn from our children. Happy gardening 🧑‍🌾
