Peak Summer Fun! You really don't want to sleep on this Saturday's market...

This time of year, our Corner is just bursting with food and fun. We love it.

We have a perfect summer market planned this Saturday... NOT TO MENTION the tomatoes, squash, salad, corn, okra, cucumbers, melons and so forth. Oh my. But you know about all that stuff. We are at the height of the tastiest season of The year and our farms are BRINGING IT. The season could not be tastier, and it makes the heat so much more bearable - to know there's a BLT waiting for dinner at the end of the day. Or a cookout with corn and melon. We can just see those smiling kiddos now.

See you at 8am at the corner of West Market and Kensington!

Happy Monday market friends!! “The safest thing to do is get locally grown vegetables because the real risk is these internationally imported vegetables right now.” ! Link to article in stories!!! Another great reason to make a trip to The Corner every Saturday from 8a-noon.

If you receive SNAP benefits, our Green for Greens program doubles up to $50 of your food budget each week.

- How does it work?
If you have $50 of SNAP/EBT to spend, come by the yellow tent first and we will run your card for $50 and give you $100 in market tokens to spend on SNAP eligible foods.
- What if I only have a few dollars (or nothing) left on my card?
No amount is too small to double, we will give you $2 for every $1 of SNAP credit you have available. We will also match your cash, if your benefits run out for the month, show us your SNAP card and your food dollars will still go twice as far at The Corner.
- What can I buy?
So many things! Fill your basket with… Fresh, local fruit and veggies, meat (beef, chicken, pork, goat, lamb, rabbit), eggs, seafood, honey, baked goods, coffee beans, juices, fresh pasta, goat cheese, prepared foods that are not served hot (like chicken salad, a frozen casserole to heat and eat, frozen pulled pork BBQ by the pound, a chicken pot pie, shepherd’s pie, artisan soups that are flash frozen), food producing plants - anything from a rosemary plant to an apple tree, and seed packets to grow food.
- Is there a catch?
Nope. Just a couple of guidelines. Corner Market tokens: can only be used for SNAP eligible food, can only be used at our market, can’t be exchanged for cash, and never expire.
- Are vendors disappointed when I pay with tokens? Not at all. At the end of every market, our vendors turn in their tokens for cash. They are delighted to sell food to all of our customers.

When you choose to buy food at a farmers market, you support small local businesses and keep our farmers growing. The food is fresher and direct from the source. We appreciate your business! The Corner Farmers Market is a year-round market located at 2105 West Market Street in Greensboro. We are open every Saturday morning, rain or shine, from 8am-noon

It's National Farmers Market Week and we're sharing big wins for our beloved and dedicated farmers!

Remember when we shared that Jon of Jon Lowry had gotten a bunch of chickens? Well, last Saturday, his hens produced 71 DOZEN eggs and every one sold out.

Amazing! Now you know where to go if you need pasture raised eggs! 😉

Happy Monday Market Friends! Remember when you buy directly from a farmer, baker or maker, more money goes to the people growing and making the food, and less disappears into a complex supply chain. But there's something else happening too. Every transaction at this market is a relationship — and a small farm or local food business with strong community relationships can invest in growing and making good food instead of figuring out how to move it long distances. Make your plan to come and see us this Saturday from 8am-12pm!

Make your plan to come and see us tomorrow morning from 8am-12pm at the Corner!

The Corner, the old Corner, back at Sticks and Stones, was one of the first places Finn Phoenix played. Back then he was just a kid. One that had an impressive set list of Woody Guthrie and other folk songs. Now Finn is a rising junior in the Music Production program at Weaver Academy for the Performing and Visual Arts. We look forward to welcoming back for an acoustic set tomorrow!

Special mushroom magic is coming at you this Saturday!

Chanterelle Mushrooms are flushing and our favorite foraging agroforester, Stesha Warren, of Eliana's Garden will be bringing them to the market on Saturday. She will also have some Eliana's Garden classics on hand like elderberry syrup. Stop by and get your chanterelles before the season ends and get a sample of immune boosting Elderberry syrup as well.

Happy Monday Market Friends! Let's talk parking: We have plenty of parking available on our lot and in the neighborhood, as well as in the parking lot of the Christian Science Church around the corner on Arden Place. A friendly reminder that parking is prohibited on any part of West Market Street including the medians and sidewalks. We are so grateful to our neighbors in Sunset Hills for having us every week, and we want to remind our customers to be respectful of the neighborhood and to not block any driveways, and to watch carefully for pedestrian traffic. We're here on W. Market St and Kensington from 8am-12pm every Saturday!
