The farm proudly carries the name first given to the property by her great-great-grandfather, reflecting generations of commitment to the land and to the community.
While maintaining a full-time career as a mental health professional, Farren has built a successful farm through countless hours of hard work, determination, and sacrifice. Alongside her husband, Brian, and her father, Pete, she has transformed a small family operation into a respected local farm known for its quality produce, exceptional customer service, and welcoming atmosphere. She credits the knowledge and values passed down by her grandparents, who operated Kathy's Place Farm Stand for more than 20 years, for inspiring her passion for farming and community service.
Farren's commitment extends far beyond growing vegetables. She is passionate about preserving local agriculture, educating others about the importance of buying local, and ensuring that fresh, healthy food is available within the community. Her innovative approach to small-scale farming—including specialty baby vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruits, and traditional produce—demonstrates that even a small farm can make a meaningful impact.
