Happy cloudy Sunday! Meat seems to be our best seller on Sundays. We restocked scrapple, bacon wrapped chicken bites, plain turkey breasts, bacon wrapped turkey breasts, plain chicken breasts. We will continue to get in local turkey breasts if you're planning ahead for the holiday. We also restocked summer crisp, gourmet mix, arugula, and spring mix lettuces.

We are still picking corn every morning and open everyday 9-5.

Yes, we still have our own sweet corn, summer squash, cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes! It's the best of summer and fall. We also have mums, ornamental cabbage and peppers, celosia, and tricolor mums. We have a few pansies with more coming this week. We grew our own butternut, spaghetti, acorn and delicata squash!

Taking down the display today! That’s a Wrap on 7 Days of Watermelon! 🇺🇸🍉

From our Watermelon Across America 1776–2026 display and Touch-a-Watermelon Farm to watermelon facts, kids’ games, giveaways and plenty of watermelon, we had so much fun celebrating 250 Years of Farming, Family & Watermelon!

A special thank you to the Mar-Del Watermelon Queen for spending time with us and helping with the Watermelon Games and awards. 👑🍉

Thank you to Farmer’s Daughter BBQ and Wild Fizz for joining us for the day, and to everyone who helped make the games, prizes and giveaways possible.

Most of all, THANK YOU to our customers! ❤️ We appreciate every person who stopped by, brought the kids, grabbed lunch, bought a watermelon, participated in the games, or simply came to visit.

We may have started the week by having our entire display blown away in a storm 😂, but we rebuilt it and kept going!

Seven days, lots of watermelon, and a whole lot of fun. 🍉❤️

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to shop, enjoy the watermelon event, or visit the food trucks. It was a beautiful day and a great way to end summer. The watermelon educational display will be up until Thursday.

We will have plenty of sweet corn, frozen meats, baked goods every friday and mums until October. Open everyday 9-5.

Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to our crew who were willing to work on Labor Day. We've born working on a skeleton crew since mid August as everyone started returning to school. Humidity and heat have been relentless and our workers are in it all day. It was nonstop busy and we had the watermelon event all morning. We appreciate our employees and hope you do, too. Thanks to everyone for shopping local. Happy Labor Day 2026.

🍉🇺🇸 DAY 4: How Do You Know When a Watermelon Is Ready? 🇺🇸🍉

Watermelons can be tricky! Unlike some fruits, they do not continue to ripen after they are picked, so growers have to harvest them at the right time! 🍉

Farmers look for several signs that a watermelon is ready, including the tendril closest to the melon drying and turning brown and changes in the color of the melon where it rests on the ground.

And tomorrow is the big day! ❤️🤍💙
