Exciting Announcement: 2nd Annual Youth Deer Contest and Deer Pole!!!
Great Lakes Sportmen Association is proud to Announce the Second Annual Youth Deer Contest taking place during the MichiganYouth Deer Hunt, which will take place on September 11th-13th, 2026. Please message us to secure your Spot in an amazing weekend of fun to celebrate our hunting heritage and create memories to last a Lifetime!!!
We also want kids to experience Deer camp and the excitement and story telling the night before the hunt!!! 🦌🔥 Join us at Deer Camp at Wooden Nickel II in Dansville, Michigan. The camp will Kick Off at 5:30 PM and The contest runs from Saturday at legal time through the afternoon of 9/13/26 at 3:00 pm. More details on scoring coming soon!
The donation amount of the contest is: $75 per hunter. 50% of Entry fee will be paid out to the top 10 biggest bucks!! All Hunters will receive something for participating! We also have prizes for biggest doe, longest doe ear, etc. The Deer Pole and measuring will be done at the Wooden Nickel ll in Dansville, Michigan from 10am-2pm and 8:30pm-10:30pm on Saturday the 12th and 10am-3pm on Sunday the 13th with Awards and prizes at 5pm.
