Mystery beef hit the shelves yesterday. Rock 'N' Rail kicks off tomorrow. We'll be reopening next week (09/10).

We appreciate everyone's patience and well wishes throughout this ordeal. We've been SLOWLY rebuilding our inventory from scratch because that's how slow food works. Animals are broken down, sausages get made, bacon cures, etc. These things take time.

We look forward to seeing everyone next week and providing you with the locally sourced, handmade products we've built our brand on.

Have a happy Labor Day, and don't forget why we all have the day off: to honor and recognize the American labor movement.

We know a lot of you have been wondering when we're going to reopen. I want to let everyone know where things stand.

Like most of Northwest Indiana, we were hit by the storm and the power outage that followed. Everything we do depends on refrigeration, and the extended outage resulted in a total loss of inventory.

It was never a question about what we would do with product we couldn't be completely confident in. Food safety and the trust you've placed in us come first.

Power is back and our refrigeration is operating. Now it's about dealing with the financial impact and rebuilding our inventory. We know a lot of you are still without power and refrigeration, too.

I wish I could give everyone a reopening date but, unlike NIPSCO, we’re not going to make a promise until we know we can keep it. When we reopen, we're going to do it right. Stocked with the products you expect from us, without compromising the standards we've built this business around.

When we have something more to report, you'll hear it here. Thank you to everyone who has checked on us or stopped by to ask how we're doing. We don't take it for granted. It's been a hell of a week. We're working through it and will keep you posted.
