Roger picked the first sugar cube cantaloupe and more snow leopard honeydew melons last night. Both are incredibly sweet personal-sized melons. Come try a sample and taste the deliciousness!

We lucked out and timed our sweet corn picking perfectly this morning. Thunder and rain started just as we were packing the cooler with freshly picked corn! You can pull up right outside our shop and come select fresh produce in prime condition despite the rainy day.

We continue to have terrific Michigan blueberries and got a new batch of Illinois peaches in as well.

Fun finds in the sweet corn patch the past two mornings. We have had so many twin vegetables this year - peppers, cherry tomatoes and even kohlrabi!

The other tasty find today was the first sugar cube baby cantaloupe of the season! For all of you that have been asking, they are finally ripening and being picked. The sweetest cantaloupe variety there is. 😋

Stop in at 511-6th Avenue West to pick up some fabulous fresh produce grown on site. Open daily 11-6.

Last amazing cauliflower of this summer picked today. Look at the size of these beauties!

Lots of cabbage, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and squash picked this morning as well.

Yesterday’s kitchen efforts produced pints of pizza sauce and sweet corn relish with and without cilantro. If you haven’t tried it yet, corn relish is slightly spicy and sweet. Great on a burrito bowl or on a taco salad.

Saturday was another batch of Death Spiral scorpion pepper salsa. Fiery but full of flavor 😋 Perfect for that someone who likes it hot!

It was prime sweet pepper picking today! Look at all of the gorgeous lunchbox, sweet cornito and bell peppers I harvested today. The plants are absolutely loaded! And they are SO sweet😋

We also have jalapeno, hot wax, Serrano, Thai hot, cayenne, Santa Fe hot peppers available now. The habanero and scorpion peppers are just starting to yield for those who like it hot🥵

Beautiful weather to pick Corn this morning! The coolers are stocked with perfect Sweetcorn for eating fresh or freezing.

We are open today with our full lineup of fruit and vegetables except for sweet corn.

As the two recent lightning bolts reminded us of why we did NOT pick corn this morning. Picking in the rain is just part of sweet corn season. But thunder and lightning puts everyone at an unacceptable risk.

We ARE using the rainy day to pick tomatoes in the greenhouse. Look at the 23 ounce tomato Roger found. That’s 1.44 pounds!

Sweet corn, picked fresh daily and chilled until you take it home. Try it raw to really experience just how sweet it is!

Cucumbers - slicing, snacking & pickling.

Beets - red, chioggia, yellow & white.

Green and red cabbage.

Multiple colors of cauliflower.

Summer squash and zucchini.

Swiss chard and kale.

Italian and Thai basil, mojito mint.

Salsas, corn relish, pickles and pickle relishes, pasta sauce, pepper jellies and lots of delicious, healthy freeze dried products all made on site!
