Vegetable season is finally here! Coming to Newton Farmers Market today 4-6 pm and available daily at 511- 6th Ave in Grinnell.

Tomatoes, kohlrabi, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, radishes and rhubarb all picked fresh today!

We also have a wide selection of salsas, jams and freeze-dried products made from ingredients grown on our farm.

Kohlrabi make their 2026 debut today at Grinnell Farmers Market! In addition we have a beautiful assortment of radishes and our usual freeze dried products, salsa and jams.

Come see us from 3-6 at market today or 11-6 daily at 511-6th Ave West where we also have rhubarb!

Next week should see first broccoli and cauliflower of the season. Tomatoes are ripening slowly with this cool weather but should be producing in good numbers very soon as well. 🤞

Tomorrow we will be at The Roots Market from 9-3, at the Poweshiek County Fairgrounds. We will have our full selection of salsas, jams, pepper jellies and freeze-dried items with us for sale. There will be breads from Flour at the Farmhouse and a wide variety of home decor and jewelry among other handmade items. Come out to shop and say hello as the spring season starts!

Rhubarb is ready to start picking. Asparagus is starting to grow in earnest and tomatoes are beginning to ripen in the greenhouse. Cole crops, radishes and greens are growing too. We will be ready to hit the Farmers Market season in full gear!

We look forward to seeing everyone soon and sharing the bounty of our winter’s work.

Happy Easter from all of us at Prairie Produce! Sweet Corn is in the ground, broccoli , cabbage, cauliflower and kohlrabi are growing. Tomatoes will be ready before we know it. Spring is right around the corner!!
