The Moving Experience helped us several years ago when we discovered the delivery of a new commercial refrigerator did not including installing it inside. They came after work and installed it. There was no question about who would move our freezers, refrigerators, shelves and food to our new location last week. We can't say enough about their professional movers! thank you

I have been having a very difficult time finding a business that can move a Tuff Shed from the 5 Cities Christian Women's Food Pantry on 9th Street to our new location a half a block away. I have been trying house movers and towing companies with no luck. Evidently since the shed is 10 x 12 and 12 feet high due to a loft, it takes a "lowboy" trailer. Most of the numbers I have tried from "searching" have disconnected numbers. Any help with the name of a company and/or phone number will be greatly appreciated! We have to vacate our current location by the end of the month.

We are collecting the following items for holiday food baskets for our clients. Our goal is to give each family a turkey, a box with a variety of these items. We do not normally stock these items so we appreciate your help. Donations can be dropped at the pantry, Monday through Friday from 8-9 am or 1:30 - 3:30 pm. Financial donations can be mailed with a note indicating this is for holidays meals to P.O. Box 756, Grover Beach CA 93483

After 30 years at our current site, the Five Cities Christian Women Food Pantry has been asked to find a new location or risk closing. We need the community’s help to find a suitable location in the Grover Beach or Oceano area so that we can continue to serve our neighbors in the Five Cities area.

We need an indoor location, approximately 1000 square feet, that can house 10 large refrigerators and freezers as well as shelving. We also need ample parking for our clients that pick up food in the afternoons, Mondays through Fridays.

The Five Cities Christian Women Food Pantry was created in 1973 by a group of community members from 15 different churches and service organizations in the area. In the last 48 years, we’ve gone from feeding seven families a week to providing free groceries for 600-800 families a month. During COVID, we successfully worked hard to continue providing food during a difficult year.

Our new landlord must be open to allowing us to provide food donated from all religions and groups. In addition, we will continue to welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and religions, without discrimination. We hope to find a landlord who is amenable to both requirements.

We are collecting donations of brand NEW backpacks for children in grades K-6 whose families come to our pantry for groceries. The start of classes is right around the corner (August 19th).
