The Guilford County Store will be open this week for take out and grocery orders. Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm, Saturday and Sunday 9-2. This is the schedule we are working with this week, if things change here we will let you know. Please call to place your orders. 490-2233. Small staff working, so if you don't want to wait, please let us know ahead of time.
The door is still open for now, so you can either run in to get your order, or pay over the phone and we will deliver to you off the back porch. What ever feels best for you.
Take out food, sandwiches, soups, grocery items, beer and wine! We appreciate your business and thank you all for your support at this time.
If we can help in any other way, please let us know. We are part of an incredible community and we will help in any way that we can.

Happy New Year everyone!! 2019 is behind us and it is time to look forward to an exciting and fulfilling 2020!
That being said, the store will be beginning it’s winter hours today, 1/1/20.
We will be closing at 6pm instead of 7 during the week and a 4pm on weekends.

Ok.. yesterday I said we didn't need any high schools students for afternoon/evening shifts but we do.
Shifts are 3:30/4:00 until 7pm weekdays, weekend days until 4/5pm.

As is usually for this time of year, The GCS is looking for some new hires! There was a little turnover and we need some help during the days. Looking for front of house counter help, weekdays and the occasional weekend day. Great atmosphere, nice coworkers, flexible schedule and other perks!
Must be available during the day, unfortunately that means no high school kids. Positions available immediately

Strong cooks needed, part and full time for gourmet deli. Job requirements: line work during breakfast and lunch service, prep work to fill prepared foods case and various kitchen jobs. Creativity a plus.
Great atmosphere, low stress, good co-workers and very competitive pay.

You know it is spring when the Fiddleheads arrive!!! We have them now, sauteed with a little garlic and shallots. Come on in and check them out, they only last for a little while and then they are gone until next year. They are awesome!! Also beautiful basil is arriving for pesto and other dishes.

Well, it always seems to be this way but whenever we get a change in season we get some turnover in staff! Tadj and Kaisa will both be leaving us at the end of April. Kaisa will be working on her family’s farm while Tadj will be starting her own farm here in Guilford.
Noah, our fearless cook had decided to move on to a restaurant gig and you will be able to sample his fare if you dine at Whetstone Station but he will continue (like Tim) to make appearances here at the store.
Therefore, we are going to be looking for new staffers for both the kitchen and at the counter.
We are looking for a full time (or heavy part time) sous chef or kitchen assistant who has professional kitchen experience, creativity, a good attitude, a desire to work in a relaxed atmosphere and the ability to get along with others.
At the counter we are looking for personable, engaging people for both morning and afternoon/evening shifts.
Right now we are searching for people who would fill permanent positions rather than hiring summer help who would leave at the end of the season. There may be some summer work available but right now we are looking for people who want a full time job.
